Our client, a Global FMCG business based in SW London are looking to recruit a Group Reporting Manager into their London based HQ.

The role is responsible for preparation and management of monthly, quarterly and annual group consolidated reporting. Reporting will include commentary and KPI’s which will add insight into the Group results and aid future sound financial decisions. The role leads the annual Group audit and works closely with global controllers.

The role is supported by the Financial Accountant and provides financial input and advice regarding group financial policies to both finance and non-finance departments, ensuring information is communicated in a clear and consistent manner.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver accurate consolidated group management and statutory reporting within monthly/quarterly/annual deadlines
  • Ownership of Central month end procedures by reviewing Head Office cost centres, Intercompany and Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Lead Group month end reporting efficiency and accuracy by developing, implementing and monitoring of month end procedures with Regional Controllers
  • Support the Group Financial Controller in maintaining and implementing Group accounting policies and procedures
  • Ownership of the annual Group audit (statutory accounts under FRS 102) which includes liaising with the Controllers of the subsidiaries to drive efficiency and cost savings
  • Management and completion of statutory returns; Corporation Tax, VAT, Intrastat and PAYE
  • Support the Group Financial controller on Group Tax matters including Transfer pricing and liaising with tax advisors where necessary
  • Coaching and developing the Financial Accountant
  • Coaching and mentoring of Regional Controllers specifically around reporting and accounting policy
  • Leadership of projects to improve the control environment and implementation of accounting policy
  • Payment approvals
  • Support Group Financial Controller with Group Finance projects that may arise

Person Specification


  • Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA)

Skills and Abilities

  • Experience of producing group reporting and/or statutory accounts
  • Audit background would be beneficial
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness
  • Self - starter able to operate with minimum supervision
  • Excellent IT skills, ideally SAP
