This is an exciting opportunity to join our client's newly appointed Events Manager to complete the formation of their new Events team. Based within the Conference & Events Department which forms part of the hospitality service for College members and external users.

Hours: Full-time position, working 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday

The College is a dynamic, welcoming, international community committed to developing the talents of all its students, the support of young academics and the training and professional development of its staff. It is one of the 31 colleges of the University and is a large community with around 475 undergraduates and 350 full and part-time graduate students, 55 Fellows and more than 100 staff.
The College is first and foremost an educational establishment. It recruits and teaches undergraduate and post-graduate students from all over the world, holds open days for schools and prospective applicants and arranges subject conferences for teachers. It also keeps in touch with an alumni base of over 8000, arranging events and reunions, and runs a thriving conference and catering business, hosting over 150 conferences a year, many of which are residential.
About the Role
You will be working within a team of up to five members, the Sales and Events Coordinator will assist the Events Manager in all aspects of Event Sales and Marketing in order to generate, manage and facilitate enquiries and bookings for external events.
They are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with good organisational, customer care, communication and IT skills, ideally with experience in conference administration for the hospitality sector, though this is not essential.
Normal working hours will be 8.30am until 4.30pm (3.30pm on Fridays), with an unpaid half-hour lunch break each day, although some flexibility in working hours may be required according to business need.
The salary range for this position is £20,803 per annum. In addition, the College offers an excellent working environment, a discretionary bonus scheme, 33 days’ annual leave (including bank/public holidays), enrolment into a contributory Group Personal Pension scheme, free staff lunch when on duty and car parking, subject to availability.
