Sales Manager - Seating - Automotive Manufacturing

Based: West Midlands

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits

The Role

  • Responsible for all sales activities in regards to customer programs
  • Investigate on further potentials and customers on UK market for performance car seating
  • Acquire new business
  • Set up quotations and order negotiations in cooperation with engineering, costing, purchasing and operations
  • Yearly negotiations with the customers
  • Prepare presentations/Salesforce CRM
  • Sales reporting
  • Build and manage customer relationships and support the customer information flow
  • Support active communication of potential improvements / innovations regarding products and pro-cesses (towards customer and internally)
  • Responsible for all sales activities in the region
  • Collaborate regarding customer group sales strategy
  • Reflect customer expectation and needs to Pre development / Innovation Team
  • Based in the west Midlands. Reporting into European Office.

Candidate Requirements

*Seating or interiors experience is essential*

  • Of Graduate calibre
  • Excellence in sales and/or commercial program management within manufacturing
  • Long term automotive experience, either Tier 1 or 2
  • Willingness to work in international teams
  • Good technical understanding of components or systems aligned to the automotive sector
  • Robust financial skills
  • Fluent English language essential, other languages are an advantage
  • Ability to proactively interpret emerging customer needs and communicate competitive positioning and product gaps to the organisation
  • Assertiveness and strong negotiating skills
  • Knowledge of brand value and development.

The successful post holder will be expected to travel on company business in the UK and Europe as and when required.
