Our client, a prestigious SW1 based Auction House, is looking to recruit a Client Service Representative to assume an important Front of House role, meeting and greeting members of the general public and assisting during gallery exhibitions. One of your responsibilities is to order catalogues, handle catalogue sales and provide catalogue information to clients and staff requiring excellent interpersonal talents and a genuine passion for Fine Art.
This Client Service Representative opportunity is based on a 12 month contract basis and would suit a History of Art (or similar) graduate with an interest in learning about the auction process.
European language skills would be an advantage but are not essential. It is more important to have poise, professionalism and outstanding client service talents gained within a customer focused environment, ideally within a relevant arts related business.
Occasionally, when there are events organised, this Client Service Representative opportunity requires weekend or evening working, so a flexible attitude is essential.
This Client Service Representative position is initially on a 12 month contract basis.

To be successful in this Client Service Representative in Fine Art role, you will have:
*History of Art degree or similar
*Passion for Fine Art and an interest in the auction process
*MS Office skills
*Ideally SAP experience
*Exemplary client service focus and previous customer service experience
*Articulate speech and excellent communication and interpersonal talents
*Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
*Flexible approach to working weekends and evenings as required
*Very smart presentation
Key accountabilities within this Client Service Representative in Fine Art position include:
*Greeting clients and providing general information on all aspects of the Auction House
*Handling enquiries and referring clients to staff
*Greeting visitors entering the Gallery entrance
*Supporting Gallery desk during exhibitions
*Handling catalogue sales
*Maintaining Front of House area and ensuring catalogue displays are immaculate
*Providing valuation research as required
*Handling, unpacking and labelling
*Printing auction result lists for clients
*Cashing-up and reconciliation
*Providing cloakroom facility support as required
