We are seeking to appoint an ambitious and highly effective Achievement Director of English to lead a thriving faculty.
This is an excellent opportunity for an already dedicated and inspiring Head of Department who would like further promotion at leadership level with subject specialism and exceptional communication and management skills to lead our dedicated and well-qualified team. An exemplary knowledge and understanding of the subject is essential alongside the ability to support literacy across the curriculum. You will be able to plan and deliver stimulating and challenging schemes of learning which enthuse all abilities as well as demonstrate a clear commitment to your own professional development and that of the English faculty. You must possess the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the outcomes and future success our students.
Cardinal Wiseman is an 11-18 school in the north-east of Coventry which is on a journey of improvement. We celebrated the best A Level results in the City in 2016 and achieved 62% A*-C for English and Maths at GCSE, with English attaining 81% A*-C. This post is instrumental in driving improvement in the school to enable students to achieve their full potential.
