Permanent Science teaching job in South Birmingham, September 2017 start
Hays Education are working alongside and OFSTED Good school in the Northfield/Longbridge area for a Teacher of Science to commence work on a permanent basis in September 2017.
This school performs well in comparison to other schools across the country, and to other schools with a similar intake. They are also performing better than the national average overall, and significantly better in English and Science.
OFSTED has commented on relationships across the school, saying that they are strong and founded on respect. Teachers set high expectations for behaviour, dress and attitudes to learning. The vast majority of students respond well and help to create a calm, orderly and purposeful school. Students are courteous, helpful and friendly. They appreciate diversity and treat each other in a manner that promotes harmony and a sense of community.
In this new teaching job you will be required to plan and deliver exciting Science lessons across Ks3 and Ks4. The current science department is made up of an established team, where support can be offered to teachers who need it. You will be working within a very supportive secondary school where students are keen to learn and eager to achieve.
For this post you will need to hold QTS. You will need to be experienced in teaching at secondary age as well up to a level. You will need to demonstrate strong subject knowledge across KS4 & KS5 and be willing to get involved in wider school life. The school are looking to appoint a teacher with character who is keen to make a difference to student's achievement.
