We are currently recruiting for a permanent Key Account Manager to join a leading Financial Services company, to proactively manage a customer base by building long term relationships and promoting the good reputation of the company, providing a high level service in all contact.  Identify and promote products and services which enhance the membership plan, encouraging growth and ensuring maximum Key Client loyalty and retention.

The main duties of the Key Account Manager will include:

  • To meet and exceed departmental customer service standards, with excellent communication skills both written and verbal, which allow us to respond to customer requests in a timely, effective manner adhering to departmental standards and deadlines. 
  • Developing business relationships - Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with assigned Key Clients.
  • Develop effective interdepartmental relationships to facilitate service excellence and build effective working relationships through clear communication with other Key Account Managers, the Practice Support & Development Team, the Practice Support Administration Team, Key Client Consultants and across the business.
  • Proactively identify and act on all sales/growth opportunities and campaigns for clients in assigned territory, to enhance their membership and promote our value for money offering, working collaboratively in business planning with Key Client Consultants and Marketing to meet retention and growth targets.
  • Taking ownership and responsibility for problem solving for internal and external customers. Proactively identify any risk areas in your territory.
  • Generate bookings for, plus attend and host events for Key Client as a professional representative of the company, building relationships and lead generation face to face, to also include time in the field with our field based team.

The successful Key Account Manager will have:

  • Customer service experience either face to face or over the phone 
  • Experience of handling high pressure situations and deadlines
  • Experience of relationship building with Key Accounts and Sales Team to meet agreed growth/retention targets

Skills and abilities:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills – ability to monitor territory targets and objectives
  • Ability to create, maintain and identify opportunities to enhance customer relationships
  • Detail orientated with high level of accuracy
  • Able to effectively handle difficult situations and deadline pressures
  • High level of initiative and ability to take proactive ownership of workloads
  • Confident host in face to face customer contact
  • Highly self-motivated and flexible
  • Confident influencer/negotiator

Driver’s license is essential for this role due to event attendance.
