Top 45 UK Law firm have an opening within their Public sector team for a 0-2 yr PQE Casualty Solicitor, operating on a defendant basis for a large national client. They are in a unique position of being appointed to all four contracts of the National Police Legal Services Framework and their specialist practitioners act exclusively for the police service, representing a diverse range of forces across England and Wales.

This role, on a 12 month contract basis, is to manage a caseload of police claims from police force clients and to provide support to the national team in the form of assisting in the preparation of witness statements, preparing witnesses for trial, attending conferences with counsel and attending trial. The cases will be litigated and will include false imprisonment, malicious prosecution and assault. You will also assist the senior solicitors with their cases and client development

To apply for this role, we would like to see applications from solicitors with experience of defending litigated claims, preferably claims against the police. You will have excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation, along with excellent organisational and IT skills.
