Commercial Manager - 55-65k - FTSE 100 Global Organisation - Plymouth

A rapidly expanding FTSE 100 engineering support services organisation are looking to take on a Commercial Manager to work within one of its most successful divisions.

You will be the Commercial face for the client, as such we will count on you to provide commercial insight and expertise, as well as effectively manage client expectations.

We are looking for an achieved individual with a hunger, drive and motivation for progression and career development opportunities.

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows -

  • Managing and developing the commercial relationship with customers, partners, key sub-contractors, other suppliers.
  • Managing new and existing contracts including negotiating amendments and extensions.
  • Implementing effective governance in line with Group and divisional guidance.
  • Performing risk management including identification, reporting, mitigation and management of risk.
  • Evaluating draft contracts and frameworks agreements, negotiating terms and conditions and assessing risk against return.
  • Providing commercial support to bids and other growth opportunities.
  • Interfacing with Procurement to ensure appropriate flow down of risk in the supply chain.
  • A good understanding of international trade and the ability to identify the most effective and compliant arrangement for the business
  • Trade Controls including ITAR

The successful candidate will display the following skills and experience -

  • Managing and developing the commercial relationship with customers, partners, key sub-contractors, other suppliers.
  • Managing new and existing contracts including negotiating amendments and extensions.
  • Implementing effective governance in line with Group and divisional guidance.
  • Performing risk management including identification, reporting, mitigation and management of risk.
  • Evaluating draft contracts and frameworks agreements, negotiating terms and conditions and assessing risk against return.
  • Providing commercial support to bids and other growth opportunities.
  • Interfacing with Procurement to ensure appropriate flow down of risk in the supply chain.
  • Advising and supporting acquisitions, disposals, contract exit and resolution of historic and merging commercial issues.
