Manpower are working with an organisation who are looking to introduce a Soft Services Manager to their team on a full time permanent basis to cover their sites throughout Gloucester and Worcester.

The salary for this position is £26,000 (plus an additional performance related bonus of 6% per annum) and offers a company car.

What needs to be done in this role to achieve this?

*Effective planning and utilisation of resources to ensure consistent service provision, including the effective management of a team of relief cleaners.
*Work alongside the Regional Manager to manage the Profit and Loss account for the area by working within budgets, closely managing, as well as identifying ways to drive efficiency savings through reducing surplus hours, over time, sickness, materials and consumables.
*Manage the standards of service delivery and KPIs in Cleaning and Office Management to meet the contractual obligations, ensuring service quality is consistently delivered throughout all sites.
*Manage the performance of the team by coaching and developing the team to ensure that they perform to their maximum potential, as well as quickly taking action using appropriate methods such as HR procedures if required to address any drop or inconsistencies in performance standards.
*Ensure the service in their area excels both in terms of customer service, customer satisfaction, and quality. Create a culture that embraces change, as well as looking for opportunities to add value to the customer.
*Ensure that all audits and any required action plans within their geographical area are completed correctly and in a timely manner, making sure the customer is fully informed of progress.
*Builds strong relations with the customer, ensuring they are a key contact, regularly engaging with them making them feel valued and manage their expectations.
*Ensure that all CSI within their geographical area are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and action plans are implemented.
*Looks for opportunities to work in partnership with the customer, to deliver their requirements and to identify any ad hoc work opportunities, ensuring the correct costing model is used.
*Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation and company policies, promoting and embracing Zero Harm.
*Provide cover for the Regional Manager as and when appropriate and required (e.g. annual leave).

What technical knowledge, skills and experience is required?

*Proven experience of resourcing, managing, coaching and developing a team providing a quality cleaning service within soft FM services industry.
*Detailed knowledge of cleaning methods and standards such as BICS.
*Proven experience of managing multiple sites.
*Ability to build and develop relationships with key customers, able to identify ways to add value and improve customer satisfaction.
*An understanding of health and safety and Zero Harm.
*Sound IT skills; must be able to use e-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel and other required computer software effectively.
*Ability (or aptitude to develop skills) to cost and estimate work.
*Excellent organisational skills, able to prioritise workload, delegate effectively and work autonomously.
*Ability to work closely with their workplace or regional Union representative to help improve productivity and resolve any workplace conflict.
