Salary £35-50,000 basic + commission (OTE c.£70,000) + benefits including car allowance + 25+ days’ holiday + bank holidays + health insurance + pension.

The Role: The Sales Manager is a new role where you will enjoy the autonomy and impact that comes with having the responsibility of delivering a full sales cycle for a start-up business (established 2 years), while also benefitting from the financial backing and support of a multi-million pound parent company. Working closely with the Operations Manager, Business Development Manager and Insurance Manager the Sales Manager will combine a 'hands on’ approach with a strategic outlook, defining the sales strategy and identifying and penetrating new target markets.

The Company: VavistaLife ( is a health, weight and wellbeing consultancy founded by a NHS Consultant and Weight Loss Surgeon who is a leading authority on health, weight and wellbeing and regularly features on radio and television and in national newspapers and medical journals. This is a consultancy based sales process, offering SMEs tailored employee benefit packages of corporate health and wellbeing programmes and personal health and life insurances.

The Sales Manager: We are looking for a sales professional with a consultancy approach and a successful track record gained selling a service to business clients. A keen interest in health and wellbeing is highly preferable.

  • Sales team development, management and leadership as appropriate.

    Sales Manager, SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Reporting, record keeping and continuous improvement - submit a monthly sales forecast, reporting major new opportunities and threats and analysing lost opportunities, maintain records of all sales activities, identify opportunities to improve business performance and processes and customer satisfaction.

  • Maintain regular contact and develop strong working relationships with existing clients

  • Develop an excellent understanding of the product value proposition, collate customer feedback and suggest product improvements accordingly to further develop existing, new and expanding markets.

  • Write and implement sales processes and procedures

  • Set and monitor sales targets, KPIs and devise commission structures as appropriate

  • Take responsibility for the full sales cycle from researching and identifying target markets, lead generation, networking, qualifying sales opportunities, arranging and attending client visits, delivering sales presentations, negotiating and closing new orders, assisting in tailoring product offering to meet clients’ requirements and initial account management to ensure client satisfaction.

  • Devise and implement the sales and marketing strategy (including refining product offering and pricing structure)

  • 3 years+ B2B consultancy based sales experience with an outstanding track record of personal sales achievement and a proven ability to build lasting customer relationships.

  • Experience of managing the complete sales cycle (identifying target markets, lead generation, networking, proposal writing, delivering sales presentations and closing deals) and developing sales processes and procedures to improve results.

  • The flexibility to operate effectively in a SME and the commercial experience to advice and sell a service at board level, to a diverse range of clients.

  • A high level of education - Degree level or equivalent.

  • Self-motivated, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • A full driving license.

  • Physically fit with an interest in health and well-being
