Performance Manager - Consumer Credit
£40,000 Basic, £6,000 Car Allowance, 20% Bonus, Healthcare, Life Assurance, 10% Pension, Mobile, Laptop.

My client is truly unique, in that they are an exciting start up business but with safe and secure backing of one of the worlds leading financial organisations. With a high calibre senior management team (who you will report directly into) this business is destined to be a huge success.

PURPOSE:

The role holder has responsibility for managing and developing new and existing introducer channels e.g. web aggregators, brokers, affinity partners. You will also have the responsibility of working closely with the Credit Risk and Finance function to ensure pricing is monitored and amended to ensure desired returns are achieved. They will undertake their duties whilst ensuring the business remains customer focused and customers are treated fairly at all times. You will also be compliant with all external regulatory requirements.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Product Management

The role holder will be responsible for:

* Identifying enhancements to the current product offering and articulating suggested
improvements, working with the relevant functions to build proposals for change.
* Managing product enhancements through a 3rd party outsourcing arrangement, ensuring
quotations for change are appropriate, within any agreed budget and delivered to time.
* Actively pursuing new channels of business and working with the business and 3rd parties
to integrate new business channels.
* Managing the relationships with introducers, reviewing and analysing metrics, ensuring
optimal performance.
* Ensuring that introducer channels are compliant, both with internal culture and external
regulatory bodies and are viable business entities.
* Ensuring relevant non-disclosure and commercial contracts are in place and approved by the
relevant team members.
* Defining and creating a proposal process for new introducers and maintaining adequate
records.
* Negotiating commercial proposals for review by the Senior Leaders of the business.
* Working with the Risk and Finance function to monitor the quality and profitability of the
business being introduced.
* Undertaking regular reviews and audits of the introducers/partners' operating processes.
* Producing necessary management information for the Senior Leaders of the business.

Pricing and Performance

The role holder will have the following responsibilities in relation to pricing and performance:

* Follow clear pricing procedures and frameworks, robust forecasts, evaluate outcomes, make
recommendations, take decisions and plan effective implementation.
* Ensuring pricing operates within agreed budgets and achieves strategic commercial
objectives
* Actively participate in pricing and portfolio performance review committees
* Create pricing proposals and obtain the necessary approvals
* Manage the pricing changes and associated impacts of the changes (e.g. web amends),
ensuring adequate controls and records
* Ensure adequate records of activities, maintain adequate and compliant systems of controls
and provide meaningful management information to the business
* Work with the Risk function to ensure accurate forecasting, monitoring of actual portfolio
performance against plans, and recommending corrective action where necessary
* Collaboratively work with the business to build the business strategy and budgets using
data to assist in the preparation of financial plans
* Develop highly effective working relationships with key stakeholders including within the
business, 3rd party providers and introducers
* Think creatively and commercially to improve pricing structure and models, working closely
with the Finance function to enable implementation.

Person Specification

* Numerate, commercially minded individual with the ability to negotiate commercial terms
with 3rd parties.
* Financial services experience is preferable
* Ability to adapt and prioritise workloads
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, etc
* Excellent communication skills - written and verbal, with the capability of presenting and
meeting with a wide range of individuals/businesses
* The ability to manage projects throughout their lifecycle
