Lloyd Recruitment Services has an exciting job opportunity for an experienced sales professional to join a leading media and events company based in the East Grinstead, West Sussex area.

We have a great job opportunity for a Sales Manager who has experience working within the Media and Events field, to support the generation of media, awards and sponsorship revenue generation within this exciting and extremely successful portfolio.

The job role is ideal for a Sales Manager who is focused and motivated media sales professional with a proven track record of growing existing accounts and securing new business.

** Salary basic £35K plus commission

Duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop, manage and implement a sales plan that ensures effective coverage of market sector clients and prospects
  • Introduce new and existing clients to the portfolio of exhibition, conferences, awards and website
  • Build multi-platform sales by growing existing accounts and developing new business to agreed targets
  • Achieve the specific conference / exhibition / website / awards specific personal and market targets
  • Identify opportunities for revenue growth within managed market sector
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the sales team to grow existing business, especially where clients have a number of sales relationships with the company
  • Clearly communicate key deliverables for complex multi-platform sales and ensure effective delivery by working with relevant team members
  • Deliver accurate and timely sales administration; keeping effective and up to date records on the company CRM system
  • Meet company standards on sales as defined from time to time
  • Work closely and form a strong relationship with the additional sub-team to ensure the wider market sector revenue target is achieved
  • Development of market sector and product knowledge to required standard
  • Keep up to date with the competition
  • Other projects or tasks as necessary from time to time

Skills and experience required for the Sales Manager job role:

  • Sales: takes a consultative approach delivering personal sales across multi-platforms for all relevant accounts and new business. Candidate to preferably have experience selling conference sponsorship
  • Team working: works collaboratively with whole brand team to achieve success
  • Enterprising: identifies and recommends opportunities for growth
  • Communication and personal effectiveness: clear and literate written and verbal communication skills; the ability to deal proactively with key internal and external stakeholders and build relationships
  • Personal qualities: high level of integrity, driven, dynamic, resilient, focussed, approachable and positive personality
