McGinnis Loy Associates are proud to be working with a highly established and well-regarded Top50 Accountancy Practice who are looking to recruit a newly-qualified Audit Senior for their growing team in Southampton. With a mix of 80% Audit and 20% Accounts, the rolewill involve preparation of financial statements, IFRS compliance, Audit reviews, Audit planning, Audit execution & other regulatory work and management reporting. Key duties for the position include :

  • Assisting with accounts preparation activities for clients in accordance with internal procedures and controls
  • Ensuring all financial statements are completed in accordance with IFRS guidelines
  • Preparation of management accounts, budgets, forecasts and cash flow forecasts for the client portfolio
  • Conducting company audits, schedules, audit planning and post-audit reviews
  • Assisting with special investigative audit assignments, or undertaking business research for specific clients as required
  • Developing good working relationships with external clients and internal finance colleagues
  • Supervising the work of audit junior team members on external audits
  • On all assignments, understanding the budgets and monitoring work against agreed targets
  • Liaising with clients regarding their audit and accounting requirements

To be considered for the position you should be able to project a professional, credible image with confident communication skills and ideally be an ACA or ACCA Qualified Auditor. With experience in the profession in another pure Audit role or mixed Audit & Accounts role, you should be comfortable preparing client financial statements, being able to plan your own workload & agreeing Audit priorities with clients. You should be a self-starter, confident, ambitious and be able to work on a stand-alone basis as well as part of team. Due to the client travel requirements of the role, you also need to be a car driver with a valid UK License for this position.
