Manufacturing Futures are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to lead and develop a small team of engineers whilst maintaining a hands on approach to the role. The successful Maintenance Shift Leader will be tasked managing a team, attending PPMs and breakdowns whilst working alongside the Maintenance Manager developing the TPM system. The shifts are 6-2, 2-10, 10-6 Mon to Fri. On offer is the ability to progress ones skill set by going on training courses for a large kitchen manufacturing business that pride themselves on their working atmosphere and the lean factory.

Maintenance Shift Leader Role and Responsibilities Maintenance Supervisor
Managing and developing a team of 2 Engineers (1 mechanical, 1 electrical) and setting KPIs to achieve and exceed
A very hands on Manager is required. There is no preference on the type of Engineer but some level of multi-skilled is beneficial
Attending PPMs, breakdowns and working with the Maintenance Manager to help introduce more lean manufacturing principles
Optional management courses are available to help improve on leadership ability for the future

Maintenance Shift Leader Skills and Abilities Maintenance Leader
An Engineering apprenticeship completed in either mechanical or electrical engineering minimum
Experience of leading people and developing others skills set whilst being a good hands on Engineer
The knowledge of TPM schedules and the understanding of how to be a more efficient work force
The ability to work closely with the Maintenance Manager to help progress the company and teams
