We are recruiting for a Technical Manager and Authorising Engineer across HV and LV disciplines, the role will also include other related areas across general industry, including compliance requirements and statutory compliance across Engineering Services and ensuring that Safe Systems of Work are managed and adhered to by the field operational teams.

Permanent Role based North England (and covering Midlands, North and Scotland
Basic circa 50-52k plus 5k car allowance

Duties and Requirements:
The post holder will have significant expertise in managing and operating complex, high risk Electrical systems in a manufacturing, industrial, commercial and healthcare environment and will use that experience to help drive up standards across the Sector.
Work within the wider team to define, implement, monitor and audit suitable safe systems as it relates to specified areas of work. By doing so the post holder will be helping to ensure that operations are compliant across a range of different disciplines and against a range of different legislation or standards even those disciplines where an appointed engineer isn't strictly required.
In addition the role will provide Subject Matter Expertise support across the business including into bids, projects, new opportunities and day to day operational support, including advice and guidance on best practice standards, system and operational asset performance improvements.
Promote client within the wider market by providing representation at various seminars, trade events etc.
The role requires the administration, monitoring and management of Safe Systems of Work. The post holder should have the skills to be able to work on own initiative, drawing on experience and the objectives and guidance from the Technical Director/Head of SHEQ.
The post holder must be proficient at drafting technical reports, investigative reports, support and actively lead accident or operational incidents that require input from the wider technical team that have caused an accident to personnel, an interruption to our Customers operations or leads to a claim against client for a failing in our service and operational delivery.
• In conjunction with the wider stakeholder group, develop a suitable assurance process to ensure that the standards set in the policies are being delivered upon by the individual contracts and the supporting supply chain (sellers, manufacturers, designers and service agents).
• To manage 3rd party AE organisations as they interface with the relevant region or location e.g. MGPS AE, Customer Safety Process and Procedures and Safety Rules.
• To work closely with operational and other business teams to put in place the appropriate standards, systems, processes and ways of working to deliver excellence in engineering and allied technical disciplines, including mobilisation of contracts.
• Consider the use of technology/innovation to improve efficiency whilst maintaining standards in any matter relating to the Technical Manager and AE role and compliance across contracts.

Qualifications or Required Experience:
· Educated to degree level in engineering or equivalent through experience.
· Preferably member of relevant Institutions.
· Significant experience of Estates Management in a related Services environment
(Manufacturing, Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Commercial facilities and environments).
· Sound knowledge and understanding of working in the M&E, FM and TFM environments.
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio etc.)
Specific Trade Qualifications and/or Experience:
· Authorised Person Qualifications in HV/LV Disciplines
· Authorising Engineer Qualification via recognised training body
· Health and Safety Qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH) or equivalent
