My client, a manufacturing business based in Reading, is looking for a Purchase/Stock Coordinator to join their growing company.

This job poses a great opportunity for an individual who is looking to move into a company to broaden their purchasing experience to progress within a company that is offering some fantastic opportunities.

This role will include being able to maintain the computerised purchasing database, agree delivery schedules and place Purchase Orders. To be able to achieve cost savings via supplier negotiation, reconciling specific costing item codes and to liaise with transport companies.

You will also be expected to:

  • Follow up delivery discrepancies
  • Cost, supplier analysis and report writing
  • New supplier sourcing & engagement
  • Prepare, check and post stock transfer journals of stock movements between the two warehouses
  • Import administration
  • Yearly stock takes
  • To input, analyse and investigate full stock check figures

To be considered for this role, you will have had commercial experience within a Buying/Purchasing/Stock control environment, be able to negotiate all commercial terms with suppliers, you will also have the ability to turn analysis into action with a keen attention to detail, and to be able to liaise with colleagues at all levels within the business.
