Job Purpose:
Completes projects and executes operations in planning and controlling logistic processes to ensure materials are available for production/scheduling demands

Job Description:

  • Implements or administers guidelines, programs and standards, regarding the planning and performance management of logistic processes
  • Plans, proposes and manages respective projects
  • Analyses production and logistics resources and workflow environment
  • Plans logistics and production capacity along the value chain, with respect to mid-term an long-term development, and according to mid-term sales forecasts and planning
  • Monitors and analyses performance reporting and budgets in logistics
  • Proposes and performs appropriate measures to improve overall performance of logistic processes
  • Cooperate with suppliers, an/or customers in order to proceed with logistic process effectiveness
  • May oversee - specific - activities of Order Management Operations, without leading the team
  • Material planning (MRP)
  • Management of subcontractors
  • Supply chain & delivery performance
  • Ensures materials available to achieve sales requirements
  • Works to KPIs - stock turn targets
  • Optimises delivery batches & timings
  • Supports controlling on stock accuracy
  • Manages material flow from subcontractors and free issue of material
  • Will be measured on stock accuracy and delivery performance
  • Will have responsibility for Stores personnel

Skills/experience:

  • Must have come from an automotive/engineering background
  • Must have logistics experience/qualification
  • Experience using MRP or ERP systems
  • Must be computer literate with a very good knowledge in the use of MS-Office, ideally with experience of having used SAP and SRM
  • Must have very good English skills (oral and written)
