An exceptional role for a Manufacturing / Production CNC Engineer to join a true market leader; a World Class manufacturer, with a rich heritage of success within NPD and Manufacturing. This is a brand new vacancy and will develop into a rewarding long-term career. You will be creating hands-on improvements for efficiencies and business processes across the shop floor. The role will evolve quickly into a strategic part of our business, specialising in areas including Equipment Capitalisation and Continuous Improvement.

SALARY: £30,000-35,000 (salary negotiable for the right Candidate)

BENEFITS: Profit sharing scheme paid twice yearly + Company pension (Company contributes 7.5%) + 25 days annual holiday + Private medical insurance

JOB SPECIFICATION - Manufacturing / Production CNC Engineer

This is a highly practical career role which will demand a positive and resilient approach, coupled with an out-of-the-box mentality. As a Manufacturing / Production CNC Engineer you will be provided with a variety of challenges. For example you will need to be creative in order to improve production efficiencies across machines which are currently idle for a percentage of time. In order to achieve this, you will need to observe / watch shop floor staff and come up with practical solutions.


* Identify and agree opportunities for improvement with Machine operators
* Execute the agreed solutions to demonstrate benefit gained
* Challenge both manufacturing and business processes
* Initiate and lead problem solving techniques in the area of machine efficiencies
* Manage multiple projects while continuing to generate the next series of opportunities
* Troubleshooting and breakdown repairs


* Stand and observe every single process
* Create a Plan to include 20-30 different issues with proposed solutions


* Equipment capitalisation
* New processes
* Continuous improvement
* How can we grow the business with machinery?

20-30% of efficiencies will be delivered over 3-5 year period

REQUIREMENTS - Manufacturing / Production CNC Engineer

* You will be an experienced manufacturing / production engineer with a practical (industrial) machining background, ideally in the CNC machining area of production.
* You will have a previous track record of efficiency improvement.
* Demonstrate knowledge and use of waste identification and techniques employed to eliminate waste.
