Corporate Travel Account Manager


To £45,000 + Bonus + Car

An award winning Travel Management Company are seeking an Account Manager to join their London based team. Duties will include:

  • Provide an exceptional Account Management service to ensure accounts are effectively serviced to achieve a retention rate in line with target
  • Visit existing clients and develop strong working relationships with them in order to understand their needs and deliver the most appropriate solutions
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and devise a quarterly plan to win business
  • Work alongside Business Development Managers to ensure the successful implementation of new accounts that you will then manage moving forward
  • Work closely with the operations, finance and IT teams to ensure clients needs are met and exceeded
  • Continually look for opportunities to deliver above expectation from both clients and colleagues
  • Develop knowledge through reading industry literature, monitoring and reacting to any trends and identifying potential new business opportunities
  • Monitor competitor activity and travel industry changes
  • Attain both quality and activity targets which will be regularly reviewed by your line manager
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports and provide feedback to the Head of Account Management
  • Provide analysis of travel purchasing data and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Prepare, interpret, analyse and deliver client management information reports
  • Prepare and present information including RFI’s and Tender Proposals alongside the New Business Team as required
  • Conduct client presentations, web demonstrations and product training
  • Identify and attend client specific exhibitions and other promotional and networking events
  • Develop journey planning schedules to ensure travelling time between appointments is minimised

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with personable and professional presence
  • Ability to deliver short term results whilst building on long term strategic objectives
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to influence at all levels
  • Demonstrable energy, self-motivation and personal discipline
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
