Experienced accounts assistant for accountancy practice in Blandford Dorset
Your new firm
You will be working for a small independent general practice firm with c18 staff in total but is growing fast. Clients range from small tax return jobs to an Audit client with turnover of c.15m.
Your new role
Working with clients on a daily basis your main responsibilities will include accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies of various sizes. The firm has someone leaving on maternity shortly and initially you will need to cover her role which involves the training/ supervision of a junior who deals with payroll and is moving up to book keeping soon and possibly some vat work. Work is likely to be at Blandford but may need to cover sickness/holidays/peaks of work at the firm's other office which in the Bournemouth area.
Payroll is on Moneysoft and accounts preparation is on Digita.
This is a full time permanent position.
What you'll need to succeed
You will ideally need to have a substantial amount of recent experience in a UK accountancy practice firm and be experienced enough to impart that knowledge to junior members of staff. You will need to be a good team player and have strong communication and people skills since you will be liaising with clients on a day to day basis by telephone, email and in person as required.
You will need to be computer literate and familiarity with Digita and Moneysoft would be an advantage but is not essential.
