Job title: School Attendance Officer Date posted: 05/05/2017Application closing date: 19/05/2017Location: Central CambridgeBond Education is looking to appoint a School Attendance Officer who has suitable recent experience to work with a large 3-form-entry Primary School in Cambridge.Experience and skills in Attendance and management of a school is essential. The ability to use IT systems and packages competently and confidently is also key, including School`s SIMS. The role would suit an individual who has dexterity under pressure and who is able to work to tight deadlines.

The post holder will be responsible for monitoring and raising attendance in school, improving punctuality and for reducing the number of persistent absentees. He/she should ideally have experience of working with and building relationships with parents and families, as well as strong record-keeping and ICT skills.You will need to:

  • think strategically
  • work closely with a diverse team of colleagues
  • be a strong communicator with students, colleagues, families and stake holders
  • balance competing priorities and work under pressure
  • show enthusiasm and involvement in all aspects of school life
