Procurement Manager for leading catering business in London and the South East region.
Your new company A successful catering business that serve clients across the breadth and width of UK & Ireland are looking to recruit a newly created position of Procurement Manager to look after their London and South East region which is seen to be a massive growth are for the business. This organisation operates as part of a larger facilities management brand, specialising in delivering top-quality catering services to hospitality and corporate clients alike. They are a fast growing, dynamic business that already have thousands of employees and are looking for someone who can help to develop this region through an effective and strategic supply chain.
Your new role
As the Procurement Manager, you will be joining a small existing team, but really owning and driving the procurement across the London and South East region. You will not simply be buying the food and beverage required for your client needs, but realty owning the supply chain to ensure growth, delivery, and new supplies to the market. You will build the supplier relationships to a strategic level that will offer support and innovation to the business, and therefore evolve the offering to their national clients. The idea is that you will be the pioneer for sustainable procurement, and create the strategy across food & beverage procurement for the business which is about an £80million spend level. You will use you analytical data in order to identify category plans and mitigate risk within the Procurement processes.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role you need to be a forward thinking, dynamic individual, with experience within the food & beverage, catering, or hospitality sector. You must be a food lover in order to engage with client and suppliers and know what is hot in the market and what is in trend at present! You must be a strategic procurement professional, ideally holding a CIPS qualification (but this is not essential). You will also hold a full, clean driving licence in order to visit client and supplier sites across the region.
