Coordinator of Residential Learning
Our Client is an Independent Specialist Provider, which includes the provision of an established three year residential Further Education Through Horsemastership (FETH) Course for young adults with a variety of learning difficulties/disabilities. Teaching and learning is practical and horse based through the transfer of skills, from caring for and riding horses to those of enabling more independent living.
They are looking for a new Co-ordinator of Residential Learning to succeed the present post holder who, after many years as part of the staff team, will be taking up a new role in the organisation. Their staff is made up of dedicated people with a variety of experience and qualifications. The Co-ordinator of Residential Learning is responsible to the Head of Education.
The successful candidate for this post will be an experienced equestrian (preferably with British Horse Society qualifications) responsible for a variety of activities to help young people to develop skills and self-reliance towards a more independent future. The job involves becoming the Registered Manager of residential accommodation over the three sites.
Applicants for this unique job must start with at least a Level 5 qualification in Health and Social Care, have relevant and extensive knowledge of CQC requirements, developed experience in a residential educational environment with young adults who have high needs, and have consistently proven ability to manage, train and develop a group of colleagues.
The job involves living near to the sites in The New Forest, evening and weekend work and a requirement to be 'on call’. Any occasional (sleeping) overnight duties are paid for additionally to the basic salary.
Salary range £25,000 to £35,000 gross per annum
