Maintenance and Post Assistant
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Maintenance and Post Assistant within PRS for Music. The role holder will be responsible for facilitating the provision of maintenance and post room services and to support the PRS for Music premises efficiently and ensure a safe and healthy environment.
The Maintenance and Post Assistant will provide hands on support to the maintenance and post room services. They will also assist the Facilities Management in ensuring that PRS for Music conforms to the current Health and Safety Legislation and that related queries from customers are dealt with quickly.
The role will involve conducting regular building checks of all areas of PRS for music property and specific cleaning duties, such as roof areas and front and rear entrances. The role holder will work in conjunction with other departments, providing assistance for meetings by arranging of tables and chairs, setting up meeting rooms with flip charts and displays. They will also assist where appropriate in the smooth implementation of refurbishment programs, ensuring any office moves are handled in a professional and sensitive manner.
The Maintenance and Post Assistant will be responsible for informing management regarding the up keep of all supplies that are used in the replacing of fluorescent tubes, light bulbs, stationary, toilet rolls, soap, carpet tiles, refuse bags and extra keys which may need cutting. They will also supervise on-site contractors where necessary.
The successful applicant must be willing and able to travel between PRS for Music sites to carry out cover for maintenance and post room tasks. They will have practical knowledge of facilities maintenance issues and relevant skills for maintaining day to day issues in a building. You will be a good team player who is able to ensure continual good relationships are maintained with customers and suppliers.
