The Company

Brewster Pratap are delighted to be working exclusively with a family owned SME company who based in Chesterfield who have expanded over recent years and has a projected annual turnover of £11m. They are looking to recruit for a Financial Controller, this is a newly created position and will be no 1 reporting to the Managing Director

The Job

Prepare monthly management accounts using Sage 200 and prepare annual budget and monthly forecasts

Ensure accuracy of stock evaluations under-pinning monthly accounts

Present the financial report to the monthly management meeting

Prepare/present full analysis and explanation of gross margins

Review overheads with managers to ensure costs and look for reductions/efficiencies and savings

Manage short term and long term cashflow with particular emphasis on timing new projects/contracts

Continually review KPIs for relevance, work with management team to continually find ways to increase profit and cash-flow

Prepare year end audit file and manage the audit process

Manage the finance team

The Person

Qualified Accountant with previous experience of working in an SME environment or would like to move into a no 1 role in a SME business. You will have a hands on approach and be able to inspire confidence in both internal and external stakeholders. You will need good attention to detail and a strong accounting background
