Alexander Lloyd are delighted to be working with a business based in Horsham to recruit a permanent part qualified Accounts Assistant.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly financial accounts and forecasting including reconciliations of the ledgers.
* Provide necessary reports and information to meet company financial reporting requirements.
* Liaise with Finance function as required.
* Reconcile all completed management service contracts and make recommendations for final accounting adjustments
* Maintain and monitor all standard transaction margins and identify, reconcile and process adjustments.
* Help produce reliable and timely management account schedules relating to Project, Contract and other revenue and cost transactions.
* Assist in the production of the management accounts and supporting schedules.
* Assist in the review, improvement and documentation of key business procedures relating to the handling of revenue transactions.
* Assist the Management Accountant in providing further support to the Managing Director in the recording and reporting of transactions.
* Reconcile the trading nominal accounts on the balance sheet and produce monthly reconciliations.
* Provide cover for Management Accountant and other Finance positions during periods of annual leave and other absences.
* Produce cash reconciliations and reports on cash position
* Assist with overheads reviews and ensure transactions are posting accurately.

Essential requirements:
* Be part qualified ACCA or CIMA or fully qualified AAT with a view of furthering her studies.
* Ability to work proactively and build relationships with external and internal individuals.
* Intermediate Excel skills (vlookups and pivottables)
* Recent or current experience working within a Finance role with responsibilities relating to the above responsibilities.
