A top 50 national law firm is seeking to hire a Litigation Solicitor for 12 months into their thriving team in Leicester. The role offers a competitive remuneration package along with the opportunity to work with a very well regarded public sector team.
This well established team in Leicester have extensive experience of working with local authorities and public sector bodies.
The Litigation Solicitor's workflows will include:
- Managing a litigated caseload protecting claim handlers and insurers interests
- Drafting witness statements
- Preparing witnesses for trial
- Attending conferences with counsel and attending trial
- Preparing cases in the magistrates court
- Client training, networking and public speaking, as and when required
You will be UK qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 6 months to two years experience in defending litigation claims, preferably in the public sector. This, however, is only a guide and candidates with more experience will be strongly considered. You will possess a real passion for Litigation and be able to form quick relationships with both your team and clients. You will also have excellent knowledge of the CPR and litigation and will be an effective communicator with the ability to influence key decision makers.
