The school we are recruiting for is situated on the outskirts of Crewe and is a two-form entry Academy. They are very proud of their outstanding status, as judged by Ofsted in February 2011.

Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to ensure each unique child has opportunities to interact in positive relationships, enabling environments, whilst embracing the development of the social and emotional aspects of their learning. The ability to work as part of a team is essential. The candidate will need to demonstrate an excellent understanding of teaching, learning and assessment in EYFS. A strong commitment to parental and community involvement is also required, alongside the ability to work with partner nurseries or Early Years providers
Experience in home visits to support the transition process for the children and parents/carers in the summer term would be an advantage. A good sense of humour and a hardworking ethos are also desirable. For the appropriate candidate there could be an opportunity for temporary promotion for 12 months.

If you are a qualified Teacher, the following requirements are essential:

• You must have QTS and your teacher reference number must be registered with the Teaching Agency, with no restrictions
• You must have recent experience (within the last two years) of teaching in primary school and be up to date with the National Curriculum
• You must have a commitment to outstanding teaching practice, be professional, sensitive and sometimes manage challenging behaviours and children's' social and emotional needs
• You must be a team player with a positive outlook and you need to give 100%
• You must be committed to continued professional development and be willing to attend any essential training, stay late when needed and take on the full role of the absent class teacher
• Mark all work and leave clear handover notes
