Senior Operations Manager

£45k + a year depending on experience plus company car, laptop, phone and pension contribution

Caterplus Services is a contract caterer dedicated to providing the best quality fresh food in health and Welfare Sector. We work with Care Homes, Extra Care facilities and other Health or welfare environments of all shapes and sizes across the UK to create healthy meals which taste great, in environments which appeal to vulnerable adults or children.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to oversee the catering operations within London and Home Counties. We are looking for a dynamic, strong candidate who has a passion for fresh food, commercially driven, and will be able to confidently lead and inspire the team.

The Role:

- To ensure exceptional commercial and operational standards are delivered throughout the sites within your designated area.
- You will take a lead role to explore new ways to deliver improved services to our clients and customers.
- Seek opportunity both operationally and financially to drive the business consistently forward.
- Lead, support and develop Operation Managers
- Manage the recruitment, induction, training and ongoing development of all operations personnel.
- Preparation & presentation of financial budgets to clients.
- Reconciliation of accounts with Finance Department and or directors, including receiving key site performance targets.
- Controlling a tight budget
- Attend internal and external stakeholder meetings and build effective relationships with the wider network to ensure key client requirements are effectively managed.

The Ideal Candidate will have be:

- Area Management experience with a proven track record of exceeding targets and driving performance through their teams.
- Previous experience in a Care or Welfare environment
- Experience of operating multi sites is a must
- You must have excellent people management skills and be able to motivate your team
- Must have excellent cooking skills in both presentation and taste
- High degree of commercial acumen
- Fantastic attention to detail, strong analytical skills and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- An excellent communicator and in order to build relationships with customers and clients alike.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines
- IT literate
- A full clean driving license

The post will be a full time 52 week contract position working 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7. You will be required to work occasional weekends and evenings to meet business needs.

The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check the cost of which will be borne by the company.
