Exact working hours: 36 hours per week (8.45am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 9am to 5pm Friday).

Any further details: Successful applicants will need a full driving licence and access to a reliable car for work purposes and be available to be on-call on a rota basis. Any offer will be subject to acceptable references and a Disclosure and Barring Service check.

About the Role

yourSanctuary is a Surrey based charity which provides specialist assistance to women, men and children affected by domestic abuse. We are very proud of our 24/7 helpline through which we offer both practical and emotional support and are now looking for a Helpline Co-ordinator to manage and further develop this service. 

This is a demanding and interesting role where you will be covering a daily helpline shift as well as managing a team of volunteers, reviewing and updating policies, and taking the lead on expanding and promoting the helpline service. This is a fantastic opportunity to use your initiative and develop your skills and experience whilst making a real difference to our service users. 

You must be able to demonstrate the ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively (in person, over the phone and in writing); strong IT and organisational skills are essential as is experience within a helpline role for a charity. Knowledge of issues relating to domestic abuse would be advantageous. In return, we can offer a stimulating and supporting working environment and opportunities for training and development.
