Business Development Advisor 12 Month FTC
A fantastic contract opportunity has arisen for an experienced business development professional to apply their pitch, business development and CRM skills in one of the largest independent actuarial consulting firms in the world. This role will initially be a one-year contract, with a view to going permanent.
The BD Advisor will report directly to the Business Development Director of the Life and Financial Services discipline and the Business Development Lead for the Property & Casualty discipline. Working as part of a global team, you will be responsible for providing both practical and strategic support across the two disciplines. Acting as a trusted advisor, the role holder will support the growth of key clients and prospects and will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the business development initiatives for specific key clients, CRM management, project managing targeted business development campaigns and managing internal communications regarding client team engagement. Working directly with the consultants, you will draft and edit global and regional competitive proposals, credentials, pitches and presentations and manage competitive pitches, including advising on proposal tactics. Sharing industry best practices for successful pitches, you will prepare and coach client teams and manage post-submission feedback and reporting. The BD Advisor will also engage in research and analysis and competitive intelligence-gathering for strategic planning and competitive firm positioning.
The successful candidate will be well-educated team player with at least 4 years' proven BD experience delivering exceptional internal client service and account management in a professional services firm. You must be able to demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and have a proactive approach to relationship building. The BD Advisor will be an innovative self-starter who possess the ability to work under pressure, prioritising and handling a number of concurrent projects whilst remaining client-focused.
