Established in 2004 as a single brand, jjFOX, SmithCorp is a group of 6 highly-successful recruitment businesses specialising in the Education spectrum based within 4 offices in the South West & London. Expanding impressively (and organically!) throughout the past 12 and half years, we’re looking to grow further and as a result, a brand-new role has been created for a Marketing & Communications Manager to step in, basing themselves in our HQ in Clifton, Bristol.

With little to no current marketing strategies implemented within the group, this is a great opportunity for a highly-driven, forward-thinking individual to take ownership of a blank canvas.

Key Purposes of the Role:

  • Recently undergoing a complete re-branding of the group itself, we’re looking for an individual capable of rebranding our 6 individual businesses to a top-quality standard in order to increase awareness and build recognition.

  • As an organic company, attracting new talent to join our sales team here is imperative for us to grow further. For most individuals that join the business as trainees, this is a first career after university - as a result, we’re looking for someone who has a great understanding of social media and SEO in order to drive interest in working for us.

  • With a "work hard, play harder" culture, driving internal engagement is also a huge purpose of the role. A charity, 3 annual company holidays, monthly "Lunch Clubs", social events, a black tie ball... there’s always lots going on here and we’re looking for someone to promote awareness of these great events around the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, plan, develop & execute all external communication for SmithCorp;

  • Devise, implement and manage all social media strategy for the group;

  • Manage content across various channels including websites, email, intranet, social media;

  • Produce & publish collateral for our websites - lots of regular updates!

  • Measure website performance on a monthly basis using Google Analytics;

  • Develop, implement & manage internal communication strategies to help drive employees engagement with the group’s vision & culture;

  • Advise & support internal recruitment on all their marketing activities eg job board adverts, trade shows, events etc;

  • Serve as the comms counsel to the Exec team;

  • Pull together PR releases, award entries as well as helping to organise and promote company events.

What we’re looking for -

We’re looking for a goal-driven, highly motivated individual who can offer:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience;

  • Great understanding (and a love for!) social media;

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to write engaging content and collateral;

  • Good understanding of web editing & content management systems;

  • Experience of Google Analytics & SEO - PPC is a huge advantage;
