Trainee Account Executive/ Sales Support Administrator

Location: Oxford

Salary: £22,000-£24,000 per annum plus benefits

Our client provides various communication measures to a diverse client base and to the company success they are currently recruiting for a Trainee Account Executive/Sales Support Administrator to add to their expanding team based in Oxford.

The Trainee Account Executive is responsible for the production of ongoing client tracking reports, to a client-ready standard. This role requires in-depth analysis of data to write insightful reports based on social and mainstream media content. The Trainee Account Executive is responsible for ensuring accurate analysis and data is included in client reporting, working with the Lead Analyst to ensure constant improvements. The Trainee Account Executive supports Account Executives/Managers in client servicing to deliver account objectives successfully. Duties include research for clients, report writing and other duties or organisational tasks as allocated to you at the reasonable discretion of the Company.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Working with Account Executives/Managers to aid in completing client-ready tracking reports
  • Statistical analysis of client data
  • Helping create insightful client reports to communicate key qualitative findings
  • Supporting Account Executives in ongoing servicing of client accounts
  • Supporting Account Executives with client meeting preparation
  • Supporting meeting leads as required, and creating meeting summaries if attending
  • Assisting in responding to client communication and queries
  • Assisting with other projects and tasks when necessary

  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Economics, or International Relations [3+ years]
  • Proficient in the full Microsoft Office suite, particularly PowerPoint and Excel
  • Proven research and analytical skills – as part of a university project such as a dissertation or examples of work place experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English with in-depth understanding of grammar; additional languages are highly valuable
  • Previous experience working within PR, media, social or marketing is a plus
  • Experience using popular statistics software (e.g. SPSS Stata, R) and exposure to content analysis techniques are beneficial
