Our client, an Internationally acclaimed advertising agency, are currently seeking an ambitious Account Manager for an exciting role working with one of their top clients.

This role is paying up to £36,000 dependent on experience, and WILL require travel into London twice weekly in order to liaise with the appropriate teams.

Marketing Account Manager - Retail

The Role:

Whilst the role is based in Milton Keynes, this position involves working closely with the brand team in London, who create campaigns expanding across shopper marketing, local marketing and other trade driving activity.

You will be working as a part of the shopper marketing team, across their Client's seasonal and brand campaign calendar. The main responsibility will be leading the production of these campaigns from initial briefing through to delivery, whilst frequently liaising with all parties to ensure maximum satisfaction and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing an in depth understanding of your client’s business and marketplace.
  • Conducting regular competitive reviews which you share internally and externally.
  • Building a close and trusted relationship with key client contacts.
  • Leading the delivery of campaigns from brief through to delivery, in partnership with key agency and third party stakeholders across project management, strategy, creative, production.
  • Driving high standards in the work through good communication of client requirements, understanding what a good brief looks like, and facilitating inspiring briefing sessions with creatives, working with planning/strategy, and conducting face to face review sessions internally and with client.
  • Ensuring that campaigns have measurable goals in place that are agreed with the client and met by the agency.
  • Supporting agency growth by looking for the opportunity in every brief.
  • Maintaining central filing systems that all key personnel can access.
  • Adhering to good reporting and communication practices, including but not limited to weekly status reports, contact reports, campaign wash ups etc.
  • Effective financial management of each campaign including obtaining POs and approving invoices on time, cost management and job reconciliation.
  • Writing up case histories and sharing these internally and externally.

Experience Required:

  • At least 2 years experience in account management at a creative/marketing agency.
  • An understanding of retail, retailers or retailing.
  • Qualifications; a degree or equivalent is preferable.
