Our client is a charity founded on the conviction that sport - and particularly boxing, in all its forms - has a crucial role to play in connecting people and revitalising communities.

Since 2012 they have run boxing-based events, classes and activities for the local and wider South London community. They work on an outreach basis, in venues like schools and youth centres, and out of their gym in Peckham - a National Lottery funded 'Inspired Facility’.

Job title: Operations Manager
Location: Peckham, with some London travel required
Hours: 35 Hours
Salary: £20-25k depending on experience
Contract type: Permanent

Our client is looking for a dynamic, committed individual to work as their Operations Manager.

The role will sit at the centre of the charity's activities, ensuring that all their processes - from finance, to human resources, to operations and delivery - run smoothly and efficiently.

In particular, the successful applicant will be responsible for the communication and execution of their financial, operational programme and HR planning and management.

As a key member of the management team, he or she will assist in establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with community groups, funders, and other organisations to help achieve the goals of the charity; and be an effective representative and role model of the charity's culture and values.

The organisation is a young charity with a relatively small team. The successful candidate will therefore need to demonstrate the ability to work closely with others; be adaptable; willing to multi-task; and comfortable with working effectively where accountabilities and activities overlap. The majority of work will take place at the charity's gym in Peckham, with some London travel required.

If you are interested in working for a vibrant, inclusive and innovative charity in the field of sport for social change, they would like to hear from you.

Closing Date: 1 June 2017.
