Reed Education are looking to recruit experienced SEN Support Workers to work with students diagnosed with ASD conditions at this exceptional school based in central Dorset. These rewarding positions would offer the chance to make a difference to young peoples lives with regular shift pattern work and highly competitive rates of pay. 

As an SEN Support Worker responsibilities will include: 

* Supporting students with the school work 
* Overcoming initial Social and Learning Barriers 
* Following individual care plans and school policies to provide a consistent and structured approach 
* Managing challenging behaviour 
* In some cases personal and intimate care may be required in line with the students care plan. 

The ideal candidate for the role will have experience of supporting children with Autism previously and an understanding of the challenges faced. Having previously worked in a care, SEN Teaching Assistant or Support worker role would be advantageous. A strong resilience and the ability to communicate effectively and calmly manage potentially volatile situations is essential to the success of the role. Candidates with a creative approach who advocate a fun and interactive environment will be best suited to the position.
