Barker Munro is working with this leading global claims company who are currently looking to source a permanent Claims Technician for their Kent team.
As a claims technician, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to a range of external partners including insurance companies, solicitors, brokers and direct policyholders, relating to queries on their claims. As well as proactively driving your claims portfolio, you will be required to maintain a diary system, arrange payments and produce detailed reports and letters to external partners.
You will be given a comprehensive training plan over the 1st few months which will include working in a classroom environment along with on the job training with your 'buddy' to enable you to fully understand the dynamics of the role and the industry.
Once trained you will work as a claims technician where you will be part of a close knit team of technicians handling claims relating to insurance property claims. The work is not a call centre, it is much more aligned to a back office support function but with important telephone contact work as and when required.
To be considered for the role of Claims Technician, you will be able to demonstrate strong customer service skills who is able to take ownership of your own workload and be confident communicating with internal and external partners. Previous involvement within a customer service office environment is key and any exposure to the insurance industry would be considered a real bonus in order to aid your training.
Working in comfortable offices with adequate parking facilities.
