A leading specialist insurance business is looking for an experienced Underwriter to join their team as Assistant Underwriting Manager in Leeds. This role offers an ambitious underwriter the opportunity to join a highly respected insurer working in a niche area of the general insurance market.

Key duties as Assistant Underwriting Manager will include:
*Support the development of the underwriting portfolio, with regards to new business opportunities, supporting required revenue and profit objectives for the business
*Support the Head of Underwriting through the review and administration of core underwriting processes
*Liaise with internal stakeholders on underwriting performance.

In order to be considered for the role of Assistant Underwriting Manager, you should possess the following skills and experience:
*Good Technical underwriting skills preferable with experience of working with underwriting and actuarial staff to review pricing calculations and appropriate contract and policy terms.
*Excellent relationship management and networking skills with the ability to establish credibility, influence senior managers and build strong commercial relationships.
*Highly numerate with the ability to collect, collate, understand and evaluate information including financial data.
*A minimum of 5 years experience in an underwriting or claims role.
