Due to a period of significant growth they are now looking to build their already impressive team and take the company into the next phase in their development and to ensure that they are able to continue to service their customers’ engineering needs.

THE ROLE
As a Project Manager you will be:

• Responsible for the complete project lifecycle
• Involved in all areas of the project performance (budget, quality, delivery timescales etc.) and ensuring that all customer specifications and documentation requirements are met
• Generating project plans, complete with project scope and objectives, and ensuring management and involved parties are clear on these objectives
• Required to identify key resources necessary to complete the project and working with key stakeholders to ensure these resources are available
• Fully aware of the commercial aspects of the projects and ensuring that invoices are presented to the finance teams at key milestones
• Managing the customer interface to ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely and professional manner
• Identifying project risks and flagging these up to senior management in the event of escalation, as well as learning from any lessons gained to avoid future issues

THE PERSON

In order to be considered for this Project Manager role it is expected that you will have:

• An HND or Degree within a mechanical or electrical discipline, however an HNC and experience would also be considered
• At least 3 years within a Project Manager or Project Engineer role, with sound project planning and systems experience
• An understanding of Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental systems
• A sound working knowledge of commercial frameworks
• A strong customer focus, tempered with loyalty to the company’s own commercial needs
• Good engineering knowledge and the ability to discuss engineering matters with both internal and external stakeholders to manage expectations and timeframes
• A sound understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and reporting
