We are currently recruiting for a permanent Joiners with additional trade skills (plumbing & tiling & plastering) to carry out maintenance work within our property portfolio in the Leeds / Bradford area.

What your role will be

In this role you will utilise your knowledge and experience in joinery and other trades, to be able to carry out repairs, providing a cost-effective and customer-focused service. Your time will be split between carrying out planned and responsive works in our tenanted properties as well as working within our void homes.
You will ensure that all works issued to you are carried out on time and in accordance with the Groups policies and procedures.
You will cover shifts Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. You may be required to work Saturday’s on a rota pattern with the rest of your team, however this will be a maximum of 1 in 5. This will be discussed with you at interview.

Your background

You will have a general building background with particularly emphasis on joinery. As one of our Joiners you will hold an NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in joinery/carpentry coupled with a strong working knowledge of other trades including plumbing and roofing.
You will be able to demonstrate, at interview, excellent knowledge of best practice health and safety in the work place, your positive approach and commitment to delivering an effective customer service experience as well as an ability to create successful and respectful relationships with customers, colleagues and other departments .Ideally you will possess previous experience working a social or domestic housing environment.
Due to the travel required in this role, candidates must possess a current UK driving licence.
