Greenwellgleeson is recruiting a Financial Accounting Support Assistant for a well established business based in Lichfield. The position involves working with the accountant to record financial transactions effectively and efficiently to the purchase/sales ledger but must have knowledge of nominal ledgers and accruals. As a key member of the small financial team, candidates need to demonstrate initiative, enthusiasm, and a flexible approach. Requirements are strong Microsoft Office (particularly Excel). AAT qualified to level 3 or 4. Other responsibility's include:-

  • Oversee and responsible for the accurate posting of invoices and credit notes to purchase ledger Purchase Order Processing.

  • Reconciling supplier statements and bank accounts.

  • Raise manual payments on Bank line.

  • Weekly purchase ledger payment run.

  • Deal with all purchase ledger queries, correspondence and requests for payment.

  • Maintain all aspects of the sales ledger.

  • Raise monthly/quarterly/weekly invoices/credit notes.

  • Other Ad hoc duties as requested by the Financial Controller.

You will be working closely with the Financial Controller and expected to offer technical/transactional support. Experience in cash reconciliations and accruals is essential to be successful in this role. For the technical knowledge needed you will need to be qualified up to AAT Level 3/4.
