My client - an award winning, innovative and forward thinking organisation are looking for an Assistant Head of Landscape team.

The role will primarily involve leading and managing the Landscape Department - you will lead and manage projects independently, supporting, developing and mentoring team members. Working closely with the Heads of Landscape you will oversee the Landscape Team Leader in the day to day management of team members. Support and provide cover for the Heads of Landscape. Develop, maintain and build existing and new client relationships. Work 'on the business and be involved in management decisions affecting the operation and development of the practice. Production equates to 70% of your time.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
*Facilitate smooth production and delivery of projects either under your own management, or that of your team and carry out production tasks on own jobs;
*Train, coach and assist team members and the Team Leader, ensuring quality feedback on behaviour and performance;
*Formulate accurate briefs from client instruction;
*Show passion and drive for quality, assisting the Heads of Landscape in leading the team, determining the department's vision and setting an example of professionalism;
*Overseeing quality assurance and quality control systems, ensuring they are being followed and that all work issued is in keeping with minimum standards, client protocols and deadlines;
*Contributing to, carrying out and overseeing appraisals for team members to ensure positive outcomes and goals;
*Prepare fee quotes, take briefs and liaise with clients collaboratively;
*Assist the Heads of Landscape in managing the workload, organising human and other resources;
*Check and oversee production and management by Landscape Team Leader, coach and support as required;
*Overseeing quality control of work and quality service provision amongst the department and checking procedures, to ensure a quality end product is delivered to deadline;
*Provide advice to clients, referring queries accurately to other members of the team;
*Update Union Square as necessary and support team members in doing the same;
*Prepare marketing strategies and carry out marketing for the company, helping to build workload and department size;
*Build client relationships to secure regular and repeat business for new and existing clients;
*Assisting Chairman and HR Administrator in the recruitment process as required;
*Reviewing existing systems that govern the smooth operation of routine tasks within the department, whilst reviewing & updating templates & system flowcharts;
*Assisting the Office Manager with any health and safety policies as required;
*Ensuring your team members uphold codes of conduct as set out in the staff handbook;
*Carry out ad-hoc duties as instructed and required by Chairman or Heads of Landscape.
*Attend Management and Director's meetings and work 'on' the business as required, attending / chairing action team meetings/ workshops as necessary;
*Promote JBA products/services and affiliated services at every opportunity;
*Cover Head or Landscape Team Leader duties during their absence;

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING REQUIRED:
*Fully Qualified CMLI;
*Minimum 5-7 years practical post-graduate experience;
*Minimum 4-5 years demonstrable team and project management skills.

*Good hard and soft landscape design skills;
*Managing multi-disciplinary teams;

*Excellent client facing skills and experience;
*Fully developed CRM abilities;
*Full driving licence;
*Able and willing to work away from home overnight where necessary;

*Excellent AutoCAD skills;
*Experience of Adobe Creative Suite & MS Office.
