Your new role
You will establish a comprehensive understanding of current and future commercial needs for your business areas, working with them to design, plan and implement commercial strategies. You will manage procurement exercises from inception to completion ensuring that procurement is only carried out with clear evidence of appropriate budget authority. You will make best use of all public sector framework agreements in determining the route to market.
What you'll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role within a public sector organisation will lead to your success. You will have a strong track record in commercial negotiation, making tactical decisions that will lead to added value. You're knowledgeable about public sector procurement practices and emerging trends and can share this with the Commercial team. Your strong collaborative working relationships will help ensure all stakeholders are compliant with all relevant policies and regulations.
