Position Events Coordinator

Excellent opportunity for an Events Coordinator to join an organisation to assist in developing their events business by planning and organising viewings and sales of the venue.

You will be central to ensuring that each event is managed smoothly and efficiently and is delivered on time and to target. You will be first point of contact for enquiries, providing information on the events, practical arrangements for all bookings for obtaining contracts forms, organising the event requirements, smoothing the process of the event and ensuring payment is received in a timely way. You will respond to all enquiries, liaise with clients, provide information to clients and suppliers and handle related administration efficiently.

Marketing the event and encouraging exhibitors, potential delegates and visitors to attend the events through mailings, special incentives and promotions will be an important part of the position. You will also oversee risk assessments and coordinate and brief team members so that each event runs smoothly and according to plan.

The position would suit a person with excellent organisational skills, preferably with some previous experience of organising business type events such as networking events, seminars, conferences or exhibitions, together with excellent interpersonal, communication and administrative skills. You should also be a resourceful person who enjoys dealing with people and can focus on deadlines and results whilst juggling multiple tasks and producing high quality accurate work.

Some flexibility of hours and days between 9-5 and Monday - Friday is possible although it is important that you are able to periodically attend events. Time off in lieu is provided for this, in addition to a generous holiday entitlement - 25 days holiday and an extra 3 days over Christmas/New Year.
