Metworks are responsible for responsive repairs and planned works such as electrical testing. Currently we operate across Metropolitan Housing properties in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire. We are looking for a new electrician to join our team in this area.

Your key responsibilities;

You will undertake electrical installation, repairs and maintenance work to provide high quality, `right first time`, cost effective building services to the business and its customers.

You will adhere to the Metworks Safety, Health and Environment Policy requirements at all times.

You will receive, plan and complete job orders on time and to the right quality and be responsible for notifying your team leader of any associated access issues.

You will ensure that you conduct your work in accordance with current legislation, British Standards, Codes of Practice, safe systems of work and recognised industrial standards for such work, minimising damage to the fabric of the property.

You will undertake work on electrical installations in accordance with the latest IEE Wiring Regulations currently 17th Edition and any subsequent revisions

You will undertake fault-finding and diagnostic work as required to repair and maintain electrical installations

You will carry out inspection and testing on existing installations, as work progresses and on completed work recording results and completing appropriate test certification

You will ensure protective clothing and Health and Safety equipment provided is used correctly and when required, in accordance with risk assessments

Your Customer Service;

Maintain effective working relationships with colleagues/clients/customers and work as part of a team.

Deal courteously and efficiently with clients, customers and the general public to maintain and enhance the reputation of Metworks

Continually demonstrate an understanding and commitment to Customer Care

Ensure that there is clear communication with customers in respect of work to be undertaken and following completion of the job

Your key skills and qualifications;

- Qualification at NVQ 2 or equivalent
- Asbestos Awareness certificate
- Holder of Appropriate CSCS Card
- Ability to undertake associated trade tasks

Your desirable skills could include;

- Abrasive Wheel Training
- PASMA Qualification
- Ability to read Construction Drawings
- Experience of working within a Local Authority environment
- Requirement to have full UK driving licence and the ability to be able to travel.
- Willingness to be flexible with working hours.
- Out of Hours call out rota.
