Sous Chef Hotel & Spa

We have an immediate vacancy for a reliable Sous Chef for this busy 85 bed Hotel & Spa. Facilities include a 90 cover restaurant, conference and banqueting for 200, a busy wedding portfolio and Spa & Gym. The hotel also has a strong afternoon tea trade and busy Sunday carvery.

Key responsibilities will be:

  • Support the Head Chef to ensure that every aspect of the service runs smoothly
  • Run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence
  • Kitchen management duties, stock control, wastage, hygiene etc
  • Compliance with all statutory legislation & regulations.
  • Maintain standards of quality assurance, food prep and cooking

Required Skills:

  • 1st rate Culinary skills
  • Experience in cooking for large parties 100+
  • Track record of leading & motivating a team
  • Stock control & ordering
  • Food safety & hygiene

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable professional chef comfortable supervising other staff and running the team when left in charge with the skill set to move about the kitchen as needed.

Interviews will include a cooking trial

5 day week split shifts

Salary: Up to £25,000
