Kind Consultancy is working with an alternative financial services organiastion who are seeking a Prudential Risk Manager to join their offices in Suffolk.

Key responsibilities of the Prudential Risk Manager role will include:

  • Overall second line of defence risk oversight
  • Independently assessing the organisation’s use of Risk Management Framework
  • Working with senior managers across the business to deliver the Enterprise Risk Management strategy
  • Supporting the Risk & Compliance Manager in creating and deploying a coherent risk appetite and infrastructure
  • Making sure all material risks are identified, monitored and reported on to the Board, Regulators and Senior Management Team
  • Providing assurance on forward looking identification of emerging risks and new regulations from the FCA and PRA
  • Delivering qualitative and quantitative risk reporting to the Board Risk & Compliance Comittee
  • Supporting continuous improvement and embedding of the Risk Framework across the business, making sure all processes are fit for purpose
  • Maintaining effective corporate governance systems
  • Encouraging a positive culture of informed risk-taking, through advice, guidance, training and communication

Our ideal candidate for the Prudential Risk Manager role:

  • Has experience of planning and reviewing Business Processes and Controls
  • Has an excellent understanding of the risk environment and corporate governance
  • Is a confident problem solver, able to make difficult decisions and justify their choices
  • Has substantial experience of Project Management and Report Writing
  • Has good knowledge of the Financial Services industry and relevant legislation and regulations
  • Holds a relevant Compliance, Risk Management or Accounting qualification, ie. ACA, ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA etc
  • Is a confident Communicator, able to influence and challenge staff at all levels
  • Has experience of coaching, motivating and leading staff, including delivering training
  • Is analytical and innovative in their approach to their work
