As part of an enthusiastic and talented national account team, the National Account Manager has full responsibility for managing the accounts such as Asda within our Retail Channel. This is a pivotal role within the company providing a high profile opportunity to drive significant sales growth and return on investment. The National Account Manager will take on significant responsibility and gain broad commercial experience working in a challenging and collaborative environment where effective teamwork is fundamental to success. The interaction with both the Sales and Marketing Teams will be key.
Working with both the Sales & Marketing Teams to drive sales.
Maximise brand presence across accounts.
Be part of the quarterly activity planning meeting and manage channel defensibility.
Co-ordinate promotion evaluation and share learnings..
Fully accountable for delivering sales and profit targets in Asda as well as meeting all agreed KPIs.
In liaison with the Sales Director, responsible for drawing up the strategic business plan for his/her Key Customers in line with the agreed marketing strategy for the brand(s). Key areas would include pricing, promotions, ranging, distribution, logistics and profitability.
Keeping the business informed of competitor and other relevant developments at Account level by being the company expert for each of his/her Accounts.
An experienced Account Manager that has proven track record of selling food at HO level within Asda is essential.
Proven track record of growing and developing accounts.
Someone that is highly organised and self motivated.
Experience of selling a Branded food product would also be an advantage.
High level of understanding of category management.
Someone that has strong negotiation skills.
