Front End Developer
Michael Page Design and Development are working in partnership with one of the UK's best known London Education providers to recruit a Front End Developer to own all web development
Our client is one of the UK's best known Education providers, offering a variety of education and training to students from all over the world. They are based in central London
The Front End Developer role is an exciting one for the organisation, who have an extremely stong and high ranking web presence. This role will have three primary responsibilities:
1. Directly manage and deliver inhouse change requests to the website, using HTML, CSS and some PHP.
2. Make weekly bug fixes as produced by an ongoing error report.
3. Work to an 18 month project roadmap, delivering smalelr changes yourself and managing an agency to deliver larger changes.
These alterations could be very small, or extremely large scale, and you will be expected to run UAT to the changes, and make them bearing in mind both UX and SEO key principles.
The ideal candidate for the Front End Developer role will have strong digital experience as either a front end or full stack dev, and will be well versed at both CSS and HTML, with some experience within PHP. They will be comfortable owning development themselve, and be commercial enough to push back internally around when changes make commercial sense. A good understanding of basic SEO and UX principles would also be extremely useful.
A salary of £35000 - £37000 plus benefits, and the opportunity to take a guiding hand to changes to one of the UK's best performing websites.
